Rabbit Run Community Arts Association and Lake Erie College have once again been awarded a $10,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and RRCAA has received a $5,000 grant from the Lake County Visitors Bureau, Arts and Culture Fund to be used in support of the 2016-17 season of "The Studio Series: Extraordinary Circumstances.
“The Studio Series: Extraordinary Circumstances”, is a theatrical collaborative effort between RRCAA and Lake Erie College in Painesville.
This project is based on a partnered performance season and is comprised of four productions chosen from both classic and contemporary theatrical works. The shows will be mounted in an intimate setting with a streamlined contemporary theatrical design.
The collaboration is the brainchild of Dr. Jerry Jaffe, associate professor of theater at Lake Erie College, and Brint Learned, executive director of RRCAA.
The shows will be performed in fall 2016 and spring 2017 in the C. K. Rickel Theater in the Royce Hall for the Fine and Performing Arts on the Lake Erie College campus.
