Rabbit Run Theater is expanding its season!

The Studio Series:  
   Classic & Contemporary

The Studio Series:  Classic & Contemporary is a collaborative performance season with Lake Erie College.  Throughout the fall and spring Rabbit Run and Lake Erie College will produce four shows to be performed in the C. K. Ricket Theater in Royce Hall on the college campus is Painesville.  The productions are chosen from both classic and contemporary theatrical works.

Mass Appeal - a play by Bill C. Davis
Oct. 2, 3, 8, 9 - 7:30 pm
Oct. 4, 11 - 2:00 pm 
Directed by Brint Learned
This dramatic comedy focuses on the conflict that occurs when a beloved Catholic priest who deftly avoids controversial issues encounters a passionate young seminarian who is determined to make such issues part of his preaching.

Misalliance - written by Geroge Bernard Shaw
Nov. 13, 14, 19, 20, 21 - 7:30 pm
Nov. 15, 22 - 2:00 pm  
Directed by Jerry C. Jaffe
This comedy of manners by the master himself depicts eight different wedding proposals - all in one afternoon!  Shaw's great wit provides a sarcastic look at family life and marriage.

The Elephant Man - Written by Bernard Pomerance
Feb. 26, 27, Mar. 3, 4, 5 - 7:30 pm
Feb. 28, Mar. 6 - 2:00 p.m.

Recently revived on Broadway, The Elephant Man explores the life of Joseph Merrick as he struggles to lead a normal life in the face of severe physical deformity.  Set in Victorian London, The Elephant Man follows Merrick as he struggles to transition from an exploited freak show exhibit to a life of dignity.

An Evening of Contemporary One Acts
Apr. 7, 8, 9 - 7:30 pm
Apr. 10 - 2:00 pm
This evening of short plays is guaranteed to challenge and entertain.  Included in the evening is the BFA project of LEC senior Connor McCarthy.

From Rt. 90 - Exit at the Painesville exit (Rt. 44). Go north on Rt. 44 and exit at Rt. 84. Turn right at light; immediately turn left onto Chestnut St. Turn right onto Mentor Ave. Go 1/2 mile and bear right onto W. Washington St.  Immediately turn right onto Gillett St.  Royce Hall is 1/8 mile on Gillette on the right-hand side.
